HTML5 Engineer

We are seeking exceeding talented engineers to join our passionate team of technology experts. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of how next generation web apps works with online and offline mode with superior front-end programming skills.

Experience Level
4-6 years of relevant experience. But we welcome exceptionally talented people who have 2-4 years relevant experience.

Skills
First and foremost, you must have an indefinite passion for web development with latest technologies. A pragmatic technologist by nature is what we are looking for. The specific skillsets we are looking for,
- Strong programming skills (regardless of languages or technologies) with atleast moderate knowledge of algorithms and optimizations
- Knows different pitfalls of Web UI and related tips and tricks
- Knows web development best practices
- Programming given UI from UX team with cross browser compatibility
- Strong knowledge of jQuery core
- Knowledge of CSS3
- Strong knowledge of HTML5 offline capabilities namely Local Storage, IndexDB, WebSQL and Application Cache
- Write clean code with Object Oriented Javascript approach
- Decent knowledge of server side technologies (preferebly Java with Spring3/Struts 2) and how client server communication works
- Good knowledge of HTTP protocol and REST APIs
- Knowledge of responsive web design
- Experience in writing javascript frameworks is a plus

Responsibilities
- Leading the development of HTML5 based apps
- Proactive inter team collaboration with good communication skills
- Creating high quality web apps
- Ongoing daily maintenance of the codebase with updates and fixes
- Continuously deliver of assigned tasks in timely and efficient manner
- Following source control (e.g. SVN, Git, Mercurial) processes diligently
- Meeting aggressive deadlines without compromising code quality

Work Environment
You will be tasked with independent stream of work centred around cross browser web app development, with directions from team/technical leads. We cherish supportive atmosphere with focus on agile development. Low turnaround time to our client is our speciality.
